Family-friendly, all-ages & all-abilities group ride to GO Fest ... with free donuts!

What better way to celebrate Roanoke's unique connection of the outdoors to the urban landscape than by riding your bike to GO Fest?!

All riders, all bikes, all ages welcome. We will ensure the ride has leaders and sweepers to keep everyone together all the way to the festival grounds. The route will cover approximately 4 miles and will stay on the Greenway to the extent possible.

Gather @ Vic Thomas Park, 9:30 to 10:00

Gather up beginning at 9:30 a.m.! RMA will bring plenty of donuts in our shop electric cargo bike. Kids can enjoy the beginner mountain bike loop.

Departure - 10:00 a.m.

The bike bus will depart at 10:00 a.m. to begin a leisurely pedal along the Roanoke River Greenway.

Stop 1 - fountain at River's Edge North

We will re-gather, maybe eat some more donuts (?!), and allow more folks to hop on the bike bus.

Departure - 10:20 a.m.

The bike bus rolls out of River's Edge at 10:20, so please plan to be there well in advance if you want to join us mid-ride.

Stop 2 - Piedmont Park

We will re-gather again here in order to prepare to ride down Piedmont Street and cross the Walnut Avenue Bridge.

Departure - 10:40 a.m.

You're welcome to join the bus at Piedmont Park! We'll head out from there at 10:40.

Stop 3 - GO Fest!

The bike bus will take the Mill Mountain Greenway to Elmwood Park, where you will have the option of parking your ride at the free Pedal Safe bike valet!
