A traffic garden is an interactive space where kids can learn the road's patterns, designs, and rules. It is modeled on a typical street: with lanes, intersections, crosswalks, and signs – but on a kid’s scale.
GO Fest Pop-up traffic garden will be located at ZONE 8, and it is designed for kids ages 3 to 9, we will have strider (pedal-less) bikes and helmets available on site. Kids on their own bikes, scooters, or simple walking are welcome. Craft available on-site will include:
- Making your bike license plate _ courtesy of Friend of the Blue Ridge Non-profit
- Color and design your traffic garden and get it stamped and reviewed by a Traffic Engineer.
