Night Hike to the Star Presented by Oboz

Experience Mill Mountain after dark on this special Go Fest night hike to the Roanoke Star! We’ll leave the lights of the festival behind and hit the trail as the sun goes down, embracing the darkness and experiencing the mountain in a whole new way. Along the way, our guides will share stories about the history of Mill Mountain, Teach you about the nocturnal creatures that call the mountain home, and help you get comfortable navigating the trail at night.
We’ll meet at the Oboz tent, where you can check out a free shoe demo before the hike. From there, we’ll hop on a shuttle to the Star Trailhead and begin our hike up the mountain. Night hiking is a unique way to experience the outdoors, and hiking with a group and experienced guides is a great introduction to exploring after dark.
Once we reach the Roanoke Star, a shuttle will be waiting to take us back down to the Go Fest grounds.
