Join Appalachian Voices staff on a volunteer work day in Roanoke. Mill Mountain Park is a regional gem for outdoor recreation, home to the Mill Mountain Star and the incredibly rare Dixie Cavern Salamander. We’re hosting a volunteer work day to remove invasive species from the park. The work will start at 5 p.m., but feel free to stop by anytime and lend a hand in helping create a healthy environment for the native flora and fauna of the region.

Find us at the Big Ol'Bikes sculpture in the park to start the work day and bring gloves, closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothing.

Visit our table at the GO Fest in Elmwood Park all weekend long and find out how you can help bring clean energy, strong communities and a healthy environment to the region.
