With Panelists Dave Socky, Alina MarcHare, & Dave Jackson
With thousands of caves and caverns in Virginia, caving is a passion for many people in our State. Exploring these caves can be exhilarating, challenging, and dangerous. Caves are also important ecosystems for conservation consideration, because of how fragile they can be. Sit down with panelists Dave Socky, a member of the Blue Ridge Grotto and board member of the Cave Conservancy of the Virginias (CCV), Dave Jackson creator of CaveSim, the traveling cave the promotes safe caving and cave conservation, & Alina MarcHare graduate student at Virginia Tech and member of the VPI Caving Club, and learn about caving, cave conservation, and hear some cool caving stories.
