Anthem GO Outside Festival Main Stage to Deliver Flannel Fiesta, Inspiring Films, and a Tour de Force of Virginia Musicians

Roanoke, VA – September 11, 2024 – Get ready to groove to the sounds of Virginia’s finest musicians and experience the thrill of adventure at the Anthem GO Outside Festival (GO Fest)! This year’s Haley Toyota Main Stage features a lineup that is packed with free, high-energy performances, along with a special GO Fest screening of the Mountainfilm Festival World Tour.

Friday Night Adventure

It has become a tradition to kick off this outdoor community weekend with a cinematic adventure on Friday night. The Mountainfilm Festival World Tour presented locally by Mast General Store will be showing its inspiring and captivating films on the main stage. Enjoy how the power of film, art and ideas can tell stories about cycling, skiing, paddling, and climbing to inspire audiences to create a better world. Following the films will be a chance to dance with a DJ set by DJ Ruby Star.

Saturday Night Flannel Fiesta

Topping the bill is the GO Fest Flannel Fiesta on Saturday night, picking up just as the sun goes down. Don your favorite flannel and enjoy the infectious energy of Firewater Tent Revival followed by the high-octane pop covers from The Dundies Band. As a special treat, attendees wearing flannel will receive a limited edition flannel GO Fest coozie.

Saturday Daytime Lineup

Experience a diverse range of musical styles throughout the day. Relax to the reggae vibes of Father Sun, dance to the exotic rhythms of Cinémathèque, and rock out to the funky hard rock blues and powerhouse vocals of Phat Anchovies. Enjoy a uniquely soulful dinner-time set by The Ambassador before the night’s festivities. The Star City Soul Club will perform DJ sets, along with DJ Ruby Star, throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday

Start your Sunday with a relaxing brunch and enjoy the talented voices of Corey Hunley’s Songwriters in the Round featuring William Seymour, Hoppie Vaughan, Matt Powell, and Emme Cannon. In the afternoon, be inspired by the Americana and soul sounds of Abby Bryant & The Echoes.

Hackensaw Boys Return

As the festival comes to a close, don’t miss the highly anticipated return of The Hackensaw Boys. This iconic band will be celebrating their 20th anniversary of the album “Love What You Do” with a high-energy performance of what could be described as Old-timey folk-punk that is sure to leave you hollering for more.
