Bicycle gathering w/ coffee & donuts courtesy of RMA ... ride your bike to GOFest!
Ride your favorite bike to Vic Thomas Park for an all-ages & all-bicycles celebration of cycling on the Roanoke River Greenway!
***you're welcome to join for SOME OR ALL of the activities***
9am: We’ll be handing out FREE COFFEE & DONUTS at Vic Thomas Park – between Memorial Bridge and Wasena Park, next to Black Dog Salvage – while the kiddos (and kids-at-heart!) ride their striders or pedal bikes around the awesome new bike skills loop!
9:30am: We’ll send off a conversational-paced group bike cruise toward the Salem end of the Roanoke River Greenway, enjoying the wonderful new section that was just completed. It’s ~9 miles round-trip if you ride the whole section out and back. Mostly flat and you can’t get lost!
10:30am: Bicycle Parade Departure! We’ll have a speaker blasting tunes as we ride to GO Fest from Vic Thomas, highlighting the amazing bike/ped connectivity we have – and emphasizing the need to keep building more! We'll aim to roll into Elmwood Park as the Sunday morning concert gets underway.
